Our Story
Sangaylay Palace opened its doors on Fort Road in 2019, built with a simple idea: Leh deserved a hotel designed for its actual climate and its actual guests, not a property adapted from somewhere else. The Trans Himalayan range and the Stok glacier sit right outside, and the building was positioned specifically so that view is part of the experience rather than a bonus you pay extra for.
We are three miles from Leh Airport and a short walk from Leh Market, close enough to the city's main sights that guests can explore on foot, and far enough from the noise to sleep well before an early start to Pangong Lake or Nubra Valley.
To give every guest who travels to Ladakh a base that is genuinely comfortable at altitude, heated properly, run by people who know the region and built without cutting corners on the basics.
