Day 1: Arrival and Acclimatization

Welcome to Ladakh. You'll land at Leh Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, one of the highest operational airports in the world at over 3,500 meters. After transfer to the hotel, the day is kept free for acclimatization.

Day 2: Sham Valley Monasteries

Begin your spiritual journey at Shey Palace and Monastery, where a 12-foot Maitreya Buddha statue is the main draw. Nearby, Thiksey Monastery resembles Lhasa's Potala Palace closely enough to be nicknamed Little Tibet, while Hemis Monastery, the second oldest and richest in Ladakh, rounds out the day.
